Custom WoodWindows
Sorpetaler crafts wood windows and wood-aluminum windows. Each one shapes more than a view: the light, the architecture, the entire feel of a home. Each window is built individually, whether for a historic renovation, a new architect-designed build, or an energy-focused retrofit. Many are created for listed and historic buildings, combining period-accurate design with modern performance.
Every window starts with material selection, followed by a precisely milled profile and a hand-finished surface. Traditional joinery meets modern requirements for energy efficiency, sound insulation, and ease of use.
The Vertical Slider
A vertical slider built the way we build everything else: engineered first, refined over decades. It uses proprietary technology to create a larger vent at a maximum 7’x5’, that is more watertight than standard American technology allows.
I grew up with warm, living wood. My great-grandfather gave me the love for it. My father spent more than 60 years mastering one of the most demanding things you can build from it: windows.
